A great day out at Kingsbury with opportunity to go for a ride on bikes or Go-Carts; walk and chill out with friends.
The second part of the day is a visit to an Alpaca Farm.
This has been much loved by young people in recent years and on this visit they get to take an Alpaca for a walk.
Our team of leaders will be on hand to guide and support the young people ensuring they all feel included.
Whether they want to ride a bike or take a less active approach we aim to ensure they have a fun day out and having time with an Alpaca helping them to wind down, de-stress and be more relaxed.
Because alpacas are gentle, unhurried, and mindful creatures, interacting with them encourages a natural state of relaxation, making it a powerful form of animal-assisted therapy.
We run two Summer Schemes in the first two weeks of the school holidays, one for young people just finishing Year 2- Year 7 and a Teen Scheme for those finishing Year 8 to Year 10, the latter offering a wide range of activities and trips run from the Sacred Heart Community Hub.
