Suitable for 8 - 14 year olds
Our very popular art sessions are back again this summer.
Under the leadership of Matt Fair (BA Hons) Cartoon and Comic Book Art, our sessions are always fun and interactive.
Our 2-hour sessions will cover the following.
Week 1 Creating Creatures- together we will design and draw our own creatures and create scenarios for them to work together.
Week 2 Zines- we will create our own mini comic books using our own characters.
Week 3 Flick books- Starting with the traditional ‘bouncing ball’ we will learn about the fundamentals of animation.
Week 4 Mini Books- We will fold and create our own mini book to draw and take home.
Thanks to the support od Staffordshire SPACE we are able to supply all arts materials.
The children are welcome to bring their own pens etc if they want to.
Under the guidance of our professional artist Matt, we will be using comic book art to get young people drawing and being creative this summer.

We are very pleased to be welcomed back by the Brampton Museum again this year.
Although parents and carers are welcome to stay with their young person by prior arrangement, we would encourage any family members wanting, or needing to stay close by to make use of the excellent facilities within the venue, including the onsite cafe.
GROW is a community group set up in 2017, and we use arts and crafts to get people of all ages working together, learning new skills and having fun. With an emphasis on using recycled and reclaimed materials we work with professional artists to put on activities for the whole family. We are looking forward to working with Staffordshire SPACE again this year when we will be doing comic book art with our professional artist Matt.
