About the organiser

Engage Communities

Engage Communities is a not for profit organisation registered as a Community Interest Company. We are committed to empowering and developing socially excluded and disadvantaged members of communities. We predominantly use multi-sports, but also dance, music, fashion, and food to engage young people in positive, diversionary and personal development activities. Our number one aim is to develop the resilience and ambition of the young people we work with so they can lead positive and successful lives. Engage Communities provides a specialist Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) service to young people in Stoke, who often face the worst inequalities and discrimination. Our BAME work links with our commitment to developing community cohesion, by using sporting activities to bring young people from all ethnic backgrounds together to share a common set of values and commitment to their community.
