Fun, inclusive football sessions designed for young people aged 8 to 17.

Come along to our free, friendly football sessions at YMCA, where young people aged 8–17 can enjoy the game in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Whether you’re an experienced player or just want a kickabout with friends, everyone is welcome.

There’s no need to book – simply turn up, join in and play.

Our sessions are all about having fun, staying active and enjoying football without the pressure of competition.

Players can take part in informal matches, practice their skills, meet new people and spend time with friends in a safe and supportive setting.

Qualified staff will be on hand to organise games, encourage fair play and ensure everyone has the opportunity to get involved, regardless of ability or experience.

About the organiser

Engage Communities

Engage Communities is a not for profit organisation registered as a Community Interest Company. We are committed to empowering and developing socially excluded and disadvantaged members of communities. We predominantly use multi-sports, but also dance, music, fashion, and food to engage young people in positive, diversionary and personal development activities. Our number one aim is to develop the resilience and ambition of the young people we work with so they can lead positive and successful lives. Engage Communities provides a specialist Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) service to young people in Stoke, who often face the worst inequalities and discrimination. Our BAME work links with our commitment to developing community cohesion, by using sporting activities to bring young people from all ethnic backgrounds together to share a common set of values and commitment to their community.
