Team Challenge

Need to know

Attendees will take part in three hands‑on challenges designed to test their skills, creativity, and teamwork.

Working with Social Connective, young people will complete a practical First Aid Challenge, putting their knowledge to the test in a fun, scenario‑based activity.

Working with Stoke-on-Trent College, they’ll also undertake a Cake Decorating Challenge, where they can get creative and compete to design the best‑looking (and best‑tasting) cake.

Finally, teams will take on the Build‑A‑Bridge Challenge, using limited materials to construct the strongest or most inventive bridge before time runs out.

A lively, varied session that mixes practical skills, creativity, and problem‑solving — perfect for young people who enjoy trying new things and rising to a challenge.

This session is open to young people aged 10 – 13.

Middleport Matters

Middleport Matters Community Trust is a local charity based in Middleport, supporting children, young people, families and residents through free and low-cost activities, community events, wellbeing support and opportunities to get involved.

We run activities from local spaces including St Paul’s Community Hub, The Block youth hub and Root ’n’ Fruit Community Allotment. Our work is all about bringing people together, helping residents feel connected and supported, and creating positive opportunities in the local area.

Over the summer, our SPACE activities will give children and young people the chance to have fun, try something new, build confidence, meet others and enjoy safe, welcoming activities in their community.
