Create Your Space Session

A fast paced creative session with a local artist where you’ll make your own piece and add to a mural that will be

Need to know

With support from a local artist, attendees will take part in a structured creative session designed to help them explore and express their identity.

Young people will create their own individual artwork, using simple, accessible materials to represent who they are and what matters to them.

After developing their personal pieces, everyone will come together to co‑create a large mural that reflects the voices, experiences, and pride of young people in the community.

This collaborative artwork will be displayed at The Block, celebrating youth identity and leaving a lasting mark on the space.

This session is available to book for ages 10 – 13.

About the organiser

Middleport Matters

Middleport Matters Community Trust is a local charity based in Middleport, supporting children, young people, families and residents through free and low-cost activities, community events, wellbeing support and opportunities to get involved.

We run activities from local spaces including St Paul’s Community Hub, The Block youth hub and Root ’n’ Fruit Community Allotment. Our work is all about bringing people together, helping residents feel connected and supported, and creating positive opportunities in the local area.

Over the summer, our SPACE activities will give children and young people the chance to have fun, try something new, build confidence, meet others and enjoy safe, welcoming activities in their community.
