Mission Control Day is a fast‑paced, confidence‑building session where young people work together to complete a series of Army‑style leadership and problem‑solving “missions”.

Take on high‑energy challenges such as command tasks, the giant Meccano build, stepping stones, tyre towers and the toxic waste challenge, all designed to strengthen teamwork, communication and leadership.

This session is open to ages 10 – 13.

Remember to bring

  • Messy / Spare Clothing
  • Waterproof Clothing
  • Trainers or Wellies
  • Sun Cream
  • Water Bottle

The Block

About the organiser

Middleport Matters

Middleport Matters Community Trust is a local charity based in Middleport, supporting children, young people, families and residents through free and low-cost activities, community events, wellbeing support and opportunities to get involved.

We run activities from local spaces including St Paul’s Community Hub, The Block youth hub and Root ’n’ Fruit Community Allotment. Our work is all about bringing people together, helping residents feel connected and supported, and creating positive opportunities in the local area.

Over the summer, our SPACE activities will give children and young people the chance to have fun, try something new, build confidence, meet others and enjoy safe, welcoming activities in their community.
